Life Coaching Now

Background - Steve Webster

As a life coach I am committed to enabling others to transform those aspects of their lives that are in need of attention. I bring warmth and compassion to my coaching, a client-centred focus, and a belief that we all have the potential to make the changes that we need – with the right kind of support and encouragement.

I currently wear two professional hats:
- a life coach, with a focus on person-centred coaching;
- a consultant and researcher, working primarily in the voluntary and community sector.

More about Steve

As a coach, Steve has trained with Achievement Specialists, one of the leading providers of training to life coaches in Europe. Achievement Specialists is headed up by Curly Martin, one of the foremost coaches who has been at the forefront of the development of life coaching as a profession in the UK. Curly is the author of a number of key life coaching books, including the Life Coaching Handbook. Steve expects to complete the prestigious LCH Diploma, awarded by Achievement Specialists, very shortly. For further information, see http://www.achievementspecialists.co.uk/

Alongside the coaching, Steve also has expertise in Transactional Analysis and Co-counselling. He completed the Foundation Year in Transactional Analysis (the first year of a four year training to become a psychotherapist) before deciding to train and practice as a life coach. While this background is valuable, please note that Steve’s professional practice is as a life coach, rather than as a psychotherapist. Further, Steve is a Co-Counsellor, trained in the approach supported by Co-Counselling International (CCI).

In tandem with life coaching, Steve also works as an independent researcher and consultant, specialising particularly in supporting the voluntary and community sector. For example, Steve is an NCVO approved consultant (NCVO is the National Council for Voluntary Organisations). For further information about these research and consultancy services, please see Steve’s associated website: www.independentresearch.org.uk

Steve is based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire on the edge of the Peak District. He provides coaching services over a wide geographical area using a mix of telephone and face-to-face coaching.
